About

I am Amanda, Mountain Walking Girl.

I love hiking and walking, especially in mountains, coastal areas, moorlands and other areas of stunning scenery.

I live in the beautiful South West of England, the area where I grew up, where wild moorlands meet dramatic coasts.

I have completed the 630 mile South West Coast Path from Minehead to Poole and about 80% of it coming back the other way. The South West Coast Path has been hugely transformational for me and has been the place I have had some of my greatest breakthroughs and moments of inspiration and creativity.

My passion for walking and mountains really began in 2014 when I won a trip to LAAX in Switzerland. I felt so at home and so at peace in the presence of the Mountains

In 2016 I completed a Walk 1000 Miles in a Year Challenge and took myself up as many mountains and high peaks as I could in the UK.

In 2022 I went on an amazing hiking trip to Switzerland and the Italian Dolomites and that was a hugely transformational 3 weeks. I had just lost my father and broken up with a man I adored and as I walked, I let all the pain flow into the Mountains. As I walked I received daily messages of guidance, support and inspiration.

I captured them all in a book – Messages from the Mountain and Journals as well to offer inspiration to others on their own journeys of self-healing and self empowerment.

I have a great passion for reaching the highest point that I possibly can. Standing there, taking in the Pure WOW of the breath-taking views is the most wonderful, exhilarating feeling of being alive.

I am always on the look out for a special mountain cafe where I can enjoy a refreshing milky wet latte (no froth or foam) and savour some delicious local cake and local dark chocolate.

My Passions

Walking and Hiking has been incredibly therapeutic for me. Not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

  • It clears my headspace
  • It helps me let go of old stuff that needs releasing
  • It is a huge source of creativity and inspiration
  • It rebalances my whole mind, body and spirit
  • It causes me to slow down, breathe, connect with nature and the stunning scenery
  • It helps me to connect with my own sense of wonder and joy to be alive
  • It is more than just a walk – it is a Journey of Exploration and Adventure
